2004 Season - Week 22

During the season Chief took away Johnny’s All-time leading points scorer title for one week. Now he has found a way to take it away from Johnny altogether. Despite Marcus winning 3 of the last 4 BUMSBowls it’s Chief who is master of the knock-out competition having scored 856 postseason points in 9 seasons. Mark is second best at 555, one ahead of Daz with John in fourth with 465 points. When these are added to the regular season points Johnny falls to third behind his brother and the Official All-Time Leading Points scorer - Chief. Wayne has the highest annual average scoring 25 points a season more than Chief. Franchise Players 2005-2006 As mentioned before I shall be asking for your Franchise players for the next two years early in June as a number of key BUMS players are available for Free Agency and any moves they make plus big draft signings will have an impact on your decisions. Free Agency begins next week and players that may be available (if they don’t strike a deal very soon) include Quarterbacks Drew Brees and Matt Hasselbeck, Running Backs Shaun Alexander, Edgerrin James and Rudi Johnson, and Receivers Plaxico Burress, Jerry Porter and David Givens. In the draft Mel Kiper Jnr suggests we look out for QB’s Alex Smith (Utah), Aaron Rodgers (California), RB’s Cedric Benson (Texas) and Ronnie Brown & Cadillac Williams (both Auburn) and wideout Braylon Edwards (Michigan).
